Life has been hectic for the past weeks and I haven't updated my other blog regularly. For this article, I would like to share with you some tips on how to make your day as a student based on my experience as a student and peer tutor.

Thanks to my friends for asking me this question. This question is quite general. I'll share with you some of the tips, which are applicable to most students, regardless in which course that you are belong to.


1. Set your mind
Always set the direction on how your life is going to be on that particular day. The first thing that comes across in your mind either positive or negative, it would lead you to be like one. Plan your day before you sleep and imagine that your life is going to be fine and set your mind that you're going to live life happily. Believe me, after you wake up from sleep, you'll feel great!


2. Smile
Smile is the most powerful yet simple to be done. You only have to use 18 muscles on your face to smile. Indeed, smile is the simplest way to make you and other people feel good. As you wake up from sleep, go directly to your mirror and smile. You'll see your lovely face is smiling back to you and feel the energy flows in your body.

3. Strive to be the best
Whatever you do in your life, do it full heartedly and do your best. Everything you do in your life is not merely for the sake of others, but you do something simply because you love it. Some people don't know why they have to do such thing especially studying. If you don't enjoy your life as a student now, you'll never get the same thing after you graduated from university/college.


4. Socialize with others
Make a new friend everyday, expand your network and widen your perspective. When you get to know others, you'll find some similarities that you can share among others. You can socialize with others when you involved in sports, society, even not so many of us know their classmates! Someday you'll need them when something happen in future. At least, you know that you're not alone.


5. Sadaqah
Always help others whenever they face difficulties. Like I said before, smile is the simple practice yet it also gives positive impact to others. Furthermore, smile also can be considered as sadaqah. Try to help people out from any disputes and comfort them when they feel down. Concern to others and people will concern about you. What you give, you get back. Be a good friends by being a good listener and people will respect you. Sadaqah is broad in meaning and can be implied to other good deeds as well.


There are a lot more that you can do. But, I just want to share my best practices. Different people might have different style. My last word is whatever you do in your life, just remember that everything we have done might gives impact to you and others as well. Choose to be the best, it will lead you to do the best and let Allah do the rest.
